After 16 years of faithful and dedicated service to the District of Eastern North America, Carroll Bennett will retire at the end of the month.
Carroll’s entire adult life has been dedicated to the mission of Catholic education. Having served at the elementary and secondary levels as a teacher and principal, Carroll brought her experience and love for this mission to the Lasallian community during the last months of the New York District before the creation of DENA. Carroll is synonymous with DENA and has been with us from Day ONE. So much of the operation and its effectiveness are due to Carroll’s quiet and competent hand on the wheel. Whether answering the myriad of calls that come to the office each day, navigating the various mailings that must go out, coordinating the reservations at Ocean Rest, organizing the Mission Cooperative or just jumping in to do what is needed, Carroll has helped ensure the work of the District office is professional and, at the same time, personal.
It just won’t be the same around here without the daily presence of Carroll! But she has earned her retirement and she knows that she will always be welcome among the Brothers and Lasallians of the District. She is a very important part of our family.
I know each of you will remember Carroll in your personal and community prayers as she approaches this significant milestone in her life. Let’s give thanks to God for having sent her to us and having her become such an important part of our Lasallian family.
Congratulations, Carroll!
